Poetry = Holding Sand

I have never considered myself a woman of many talents.  Actually, I think I a woman that lacks talent.  Complaining perpetually is not a talent.  However, I have tried to create a talent over the years.  Photography, Photoshop, and Poetry.  However, poetry is one talent that I cannot grasp.  Poetry is holding onto sand; it just slips through my fingers.  For a moment, I think I have a great start to a poem.  However, the great beginning has a disastrous end.  I end up ranting about my feelings rather than using pretty, eloquent, fluffy words to describe my emotions.
A few weeks ago, I attempted to write a poem for the LASGS newspaper.  Fail.  I cannot transfer my thoughts to paper.  Thoughts in my head are poetic.  But thoughts in print are gibberish.
